A quodlibet is a piece of music combining several different melodies, usually popular tunes, in counterpoint and often a light-hearted, humorous manner. The term is Latin, meaning "whatever" or literally, "what pleases."

Unlike inert hand drawn maps, such as those produced through KEGG (Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomics) once entered into QUODLIBET these maps will be able to perform network calculations. Also, unlike other metabolic maps, QUODLIBET maps are enriched with addition data about naturopathic agents capable of influencing the expression and function of clusters and individual components of the graph.
